In a crowded march that toured some of the most populous neighborhoods of the National District, the party Power of the People marched this Sunday for more than two hours to demand the citizen insecuritythe high cost of food and cases of alleged drug trafficking in the Government.
The march started in the sector Capetoured the Villa María, Villa Consuelo, Libertad, Social Improvement and other sectors, until reaching the Duarte Avenuewhere protesters gathered to continue their protest.
The protest was characterized by the elements of a political campaign: music equipment throughout the route, elaborate posters, flags of the Power of the People and the spirit of a crowd of sympathizers waiting for Leonel Fernandezthe president of the opposition organization.
The march was scheduled for start at 10:00 in the morning, but it started an hour later. From early on, the people was accumulating in the Nicolás de Ovando avenue with Albert Thomas, where the long journey began.
The people arrived on foot, in buses public transport hired for the event and in engines.
Printed posters. empty pots and meringues
Most arrived with hubbub to the event and carrying fully printed posters, very different from the usual handmade posters that used to be used in political acts.
Some of the posters demanded greater security citizen and stopping drug trafficking, but much of it was directed at increasing food prices.

The music was another characteristic element of the march that encouraged the people. At the pace of meringuethe Power of the People intoned songs such as “Now there’s a pot,” “Let Leonel come back to put an end to this,” and his symbolic “And they’re going outside.”
Although at march All the public who wanted to complain about the main social problems of the country were called, the opposition organization brought together, for the most part, a young adult audiencewhile the elderly supported from their homes.
On the way, the people came out of their houses showing empty potsempty food boxes and flour bags that simulated a claim to drugs and the alleged drug trafficking actions for which some members of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
They were present on the tour leaders of the Power of the People as Radhames Jimenez, Bautista Rojas GomezRafael Castillo, Tayluma Calderón, Rafaela González and others.
