Icetex reported that it has already launched the new special line of credit for students who have performed military service and certify to be First Class Reservists, to study undergraduate programs in technical, technological or professional careers.

The new medium-term credit line establishes benefits such as decrease in interest rate in 2022, ease of payment, 100% coverage in tuition payments and benefits students of all strata.
This special line, called First Class Reservists, allows students pay 30% of their credit at the time of study and the remaining 70% after graduation, with a payment term that is equivalent to 1.5 times the financed study period.
Within its scheme, the modality also counts with a grace period of 1 year after the completion of the studies before your credit goes to amortization collection.
Reservists who make use of this financing mechanism will pay the IPC plus 7.5 in interest rate in 2022.
Requirements to apply
- Be a Colombian citizen.
- Be accepted in an undergraduate program in a Higher Education Institution recognized by the Ministry of National Education.
- Have presented military service and accredit as a first class reservist.
- Belonging to strata 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 does not require registration in Sisbén.
- If you request financing for the first academic semester, you must take the Saber 11 tests from the year 2012 and have obtained a score equal to or greater than 240.
- If you enter the second semester, you must take the Saber 11 tests from the year 2012 and have obtained a score equal to or greater than 240 or accredit a grade point average equal to or greater than 3.4 in the last period studied or accumulated.
- Students who enter from the third semester onwards must have an average equal to or greater than 3.4 in the last period studied or accumulated.
