After the United States carried out a series of bombings against Venezuelan territory in the early hours of this Saturday and kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro Moros, along with his wife, Cilia Flores, social organizations and citizens of different countries repudiated the aggression described as “an act of war.”
Through a publication on his Telegram channel, Foreign Minister Yván Gil published an audiovisual where he expresses that “from the bowels of the imperialist monster, powerful images of solidarity emerge from the American people, who raise their voices in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela and our right to a future of self-determination, progress and unity. “We refuse to be considered a backyard for ecocidal extractivism, and we claim our right to build our own destiny, free of external impositions.”
In Chile, social movements and political leaders rejected the attack and warned about the seriousness of an action that, they stated, violates international law and threatens regional stability.

“Down with the war, down with the empire!”: demonstration in Paris in solidarity with Venezuela
More than a thousand people, called by left-wing parties and organizations, gathered this Saturday, January 3, in the Place de la République in Paris to protest against the US military aggression in Venezuela and criticize the position adopted by the French president, Emmanuel Macron, who celebrated the action ordered by the tenant of the White House, Donald Trump.
The demonstration strongly condemned the US operation that attacked civilian infrastructure in Caracas and resulted in the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.


Communist Movement of Latin America and the Caribbean condemns US aggression against Venezuela
The Communist Movement of Latin America and the Caribbean (Mclac) condemned this Saturday, January 3, the military aggression perpetrated by the United States against Venezuela, denouncing that the action constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.
“This criminal action represents a slap in the face of international law and a desperate attempt by Washington to regain control of the region’s strategic resources through terror and force,” the organization denounced.
