A group of subjects entered the Santiago Firefighters General Headquarters with the purpose of stealing uniforms and computers. This, within the framework of the third commemoration of the social outbreak in the country.
Through its social networks, the institution commented that “it categorically rejects the vandalism that was the object, this afternoon, of the facade of the General Headquarters of Santiago. Acts like this will not intimidate us and should be rejected by the entire community, the same as which we serve”.
The Fire Superintendent, Marcos Cumsille, stated that two young people entered the General Headquarters by using a blunt object, with which they broke a door to enter the premises.
After this, they managed to steal uniforms, computers and other office products. They also tried to enter other areas, which caused damage to the building.
“What is here has a lot of moral value, the Fire Department was founded, for 160 years we have lived here, here we have watched over our martyrs, it is a barracks that has a lot of emotional burden for us but in general things of value, which there are computers in any office,” said Cumsille.

Preliminarily, the institution valued at more than $3 million what was stolen by the subjects. In addition, $2 to $3 million worth of damage was caused.
