“21 years since that April 11, 2002, the people continue to work so that no one forgets fascism and becomes aware of the constant conspiracies of the empire that seek to end the Bolivarian Revolution,” said the Vice President of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernandez.
This Tuesday, during the start of the commemorative acts for the 21st anniversary of the coup perpetrated against President Hugo Chávez, Fernández highlighted that “21 years have passed and that we have undoubtedly worked so that what happened one day is never forgotten.” like today, where fascism took the streets of Caracas and assumed the Coup d’état head-on”.
At the Llaguno Bridge, in Caracas, they held an ecumenical mass in prayer for the people who died on April 11, 12 and 13, 2002.
In this regard, Fernández explained that “a conspiracy was brewing in the country together with the media. A betrayal against Commander Chávez, they had already determined where the dead were going, they put snipers”.
Fernández emphasized that “under this scheme it is necessary that we convene every April 11 to remember those who lost their lives in this place. They wanted to put an end to the Chavista people”.
During his speech, Nahum Fernández added this Tuesday to the 21st anniversary of that day “we pay tribute to those who defended democracy and to Commander Chávez. I want to especially remember Darío Vivas, ”he said.
They had a US-directed coup script
At the event, the deputy to the National Assembly, Iris Varela, indicated that “21 years ago in this space a coup d’état took place, which had been brewing in advance led by the United States, and that to consummate these coups it gets its lackeys to those who sell the homeland and give up the lives of their brothers.”
These sectors, said Varela, ‘were accumulating forces and developed a document that I had access to, together with Luis Tascón, with whom I toured the country showing the document to the people. This contained the 20 steps of the perfect coup d’état”.
“He had the script to carry out the coup and remove the leader Hugo Chávez from power, he said that we had to join forces with the businessmen, the Adeco unions and the episcopal conference,” he added.
Likewise, Varela stressed: “21 years ago they made a pact to hand over Venezuela signed by the CTV, Fedecámaras and the Episcopal Conference.”
