Thirty-one years after the feat of February 4, 1992, the civic-military rebellion led by Commander Chávez, the cry of rebellion and dignity of the Venezuelan people continues to be heard in all the streets and avenues of the national territory.
This Saturday, February 4, marks the 31st anniversary of the civil-military rebellion commanded by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, who rose up against the neoliberal policies of the Government of Carlos Andrés Pérez in February 1992.
To commemorate this date, the people carry out different mobilizations throughout the country, to celebrate a feat that changed the course of history.
In Caracas, the march had the Zona Renta station in Plaza Venezuela and Avenida Nueva Granada as its meeting point and departure point, and its objective was to reach the Paseo Histórico de Los Próceres.
Chávez legacy honored
During the course of the march, the mayoress of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, who is present at the mobilization, highlighted the large number of people present in the streets of the capital, who ultimately represent all of Venezuela, who defend the legacy that Commander Hugo Chávez left the civic-military union.
“We have all the representation of Venezuela in Caracas, here we celebrate the before and now of the 4F. We come with the renaissance, and we are celebrating the Day of National Dignity when those young people rebelled in a civic-military-police union,” he added.
The Mayor asked the Venezuelan youth to maintain “all the energy to continue advancing. It is in their hands that the Revolution continue forever. We believe in youth and in that rebellious energy to defend the homeland,” she stressed.

For her part, the deputy to the National Assembly Iris Varela indicated that this great mobilization “is a clear message from the Venezuelan people. Here the opposition continues to underestimate the people, they will continue to crash against our dignity.

Likewise, the socialist leader Eduardo Piñate, also present at the march for the 4F, stressed that after “31 years from that early morning of the 4F, when we met Chávez, our people were unified around his leadership. And that union has brought us here, we have surfed threats and betrayals.
For Piñate, the task is to continue strengthening “union and awareness against the imperialist enemy.”

For his part, deputy Pedro Infante, also a participant in the great march, pointed out that “that 4F of 1992 began the rebellion of the people against the empire, against what was wrongly done. We have 31 continuous years mobilized with force.

The socialist and revolutionary leader Freddy Bernal, and governor of the state of Táchira, who also raised his voice this Saturday, said: “Chávez means dignity of a country that was in the dark and had no direction, he rescued hope, he gave us the way , pointed to Bolívar and left us with Maduro a dignified and independent people ».

“We commemorate 31 years of that feat that was engraved in the hearts of the Venezuelan people, who could not take that Puntofijista Pact anymore.”
Berricote indicated that “4F stopped those governments of the fourth in their tracks to give way to the V with hope and peace, and 31 years later the people are still revolutionary and more Chavista than ever,” he said.
From Avenida Nueva Granada, Maritza Acuña, from Guárico state, recognized the hope that was born from the hand of Chávez and his soldiers.
“February 4 represents hope for all Venezuelans who now own our resources,” he said.
Claudimar Hernández said: «We tell the world that what they do to our country is unfair. We are with President Maduro. They have blocked us and we need the support of Maduro to move forward, give support to the workers.
Another participant in the march stressed: “President Maduro is following the entire legacy that President Chávez left. The government of the communes is the one that must be implemented, which is why People’s Power is the protagonist. The united people are the protagonists of history.”
