People arriving from Africa must perform mandatory isolation

The Government ordered that all persons entering the country from Africa or who have been in the African continent in the last 14 days prior to their arrival in Argentina, they must carry out a mandatory isolation due to the warnings issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) about the new Omicron variant, originally detected in South Africa.

Through Administrative Declaration 1163/2021 of the Cabinet Headquarters, published in the Official Gazette, the Executive also established a series of requirements for people entering the country from Africa, such as having the necessary two vaccines applied (complete vaccination schedule) 14 days prior to arrival and exhibit a Negative PCR made in the country of origin 72 hours before arrival.

In addition, at the time of admission those who come from these destinations will have to make a antigen test, while foreigners not residing in the country will be required “a Covid-19 health insurance, with coverage of hospitalization services.”

10 days after the date of the PCR test carried out in the country of origin, people who have arrived from Africa or have been in an African country in the 14 days prior to arrival in Argentina will have to undergo a PCR test “whose The result must be negative, as a condition of completion of the mandatory isolation “.
