The Venezuelan people once again took to the streets to honor the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez 10 years after his physical departure. On this occasion, a mobilization of 9.7 kilometers was carried out to the Cuartel de la Montaña 4F, located in the 23 de enero parish of Caracas.
People from all parts of the country, social movements, workers, representatives of public organizations, participated in the mobilization and joined the march of the Transfer of the Cadet Saber to the monument of the 4 elements, where the mortal remains of the Venezuelan president rest. .
“Chávez means hope, solidarity for us, a people that he made visible, who taught us our rights and made us a governing people,” Alquira Azurita told AVN, from Sucre avenue, where he waited for the passage of the Cadet Saber that the Commander received in 1975.
“We are here to defend his legacy, because as a farmer he gave us an identity, that is why he flourished in the 4F and on a day like today he made millions,” said Oscar Benítez.
For her part, Aimara Hernández from Aragua state, asserted that she mobilized to the capital to support the Bolivarian revolution. “We go out whenever the process and the country need it, because Chávez lives in our hearts, in our thoughts, in every man and woman of the country,” he emphasized in a broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
For Magaly Espinoza, a resident of the Sucre parish, Chávez left a great task, “to make visible and strengthen the Venezuelan woman in all its scenarios.”
The Cadet’s Saber toured the main avenues of Caracas, from Fuerte Tiuna, until January 23, to rest next to the Commander in the 4F and will arrive at the hands of Ensign Miguel Ángel García.
In the vehicle that transported the Cadet’s Saber and dagger, were: the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez; the Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López; the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello; Deputy Robdexa Poleo, among others.
This Wednesday, the authorities of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the National Government and popular power, moved the Cadet Saber to the Cuartel de la Montaña, to close a cycle of commemorative activities for the first decade of planting of Commander Hugo Chávez.
“Chávez has not left, he is in our hearts, he took up and revived our roots, all the cultural expressions of our regions revived. We are not sad, we are vindicating his memory, as a culture and dancer, I transmit the culture that Chávez revived, I am happy to share here with my colleagues from the Caracas Metro,” said Rita Oropeza, who identified herself as the culture coordinator of the Caracas subway system. .
Earlier, the authorities of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the National Government and popular power, transferred the cadet’s saber, to the Cuartel de la Montaña in the 23 de Enero parish, in Caracas.
The symbolic act was led by the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, the Vice President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez, the First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello, the Mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez and other members.
Prior to the transfer of the commander’s saber to the 4F, Godfather Lopezstressed that the saber has great meaning, because it represents each step taken towards the independence of the homeland.
With the symbolic act, a cycle of commemorative activities for the first decade of the sowing of Commander Chávez, where intellectuals, politicians and personalities of the world and the nation participated, closed.
