The Confederation of Pensioners of Colombia presented to the Minister of Labor, Gloria Inés Ramírez, its proposal to increase the minimum wage of Colombians in 2023.
The president of the entity, José Antonio Forero, affirmed thatThe readjustment of the value of the minimum wage must not be below 17%.
“We as pensioners have left at the minister’s table and with some members of the committee that we consider that the increase in the minimum wage for next year should not be less than 17%,” he said.

In the framework of the meeting of the Productivity Board, the union leader stated that the proposal was presented taking into account the different variables that are handled from the minimum wage, which are fired.
“Inflation so far is above 12%, inflation for next year has been said to be between 8%. We believe that to recover what has been lost, the increase must be above 17%”, he explained.
Said They also asked the Government to take the necessary measures, so that public services and tariffs do not increase their price.
“This is necessary to do because in less than four months we have already absorbed the entire increase in the minimum wage. That is the proposal we have, ”he pointed out.
