The newly appointed Director General of Migration, Venancio Alcantara Valdezwho has had an impeccable political career in the country, was not receiving any pension in the State at the time of his appointment, as has been published in some media.
In the four-year period 1998-2002, Alcántara Valdez was elected deputy for the National District and after completing his legislative period, after reaching the required age in 2013, he was granted a pension as a former legislator.

Said pension was annulled at the time of being appointed to the General Directorate of Customs in 2020.
In other words, Alcántara Valdez has faithfully complied with the regulations that govern the matter.
Regarding the pension processed for Venancio Alcántara Valdez in 2006, due to health problems, it was never promulgated and therefore, he did not receive a penny for that concept.
