The non-governmental organization Foro Penal confirmed the release of five foreign citizens in the country. Through his count in X They detailed that citizens Cristian Cenuse, Sergiy Rudavskyy, Mykhailo Kostiv, Zsuzsanna Bossanyi and Alireza Akbari received precautionary measures.
Cenuse, a citizen of Romania, was arrested on September 27, 2024 when he was traveling on buses from San Cristóbal, Táchira state, and was on a tourist trip to see South America.
Cristian Cenuse was missing for 10 months and during that time he contacted his wife and informed her that he was imprisoned in Venezuela.
Sergiy Rudavskyy, a Ukrainian national, was detained on January 7 of last year, while traveling on a private boat to the island of Margarita, in the state of Nueva Esparta.
The NGO, dedicated to the defense of human rights, also reported that Mykhailo Kostiv (Ukraine), who was arrested on January 7 of last year in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state, when the yacht he was on ran out of fuel and stopped to refuel.
