Members of the Petroleum Workers Union of the Mexican Republic (STPRM) in Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Guanajuato, protested yesterday to demand the reactivation of contracts, the improvement of the hospital network and the delivery of work material; They denounced that Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) promotes labor instability.
In Veracruz, members of sections 10, 11 and 16 of the STPRM demonstrated on Monday at the facilities of the Lázaro Cárdenas refinery, the Pajaritos Petrochemical complex and the Cuichapa field, where they demanded compliance with their collective agreement.
Ángel Amado Alor, secretary of section 10 adjustments, said that the main demand is the release of resources for hiring personnel and covering benefits.
In Tamaulipas, the union denounced labor abuses by the general director of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza, and joined the repudiation expressed by the 36 general secretaries that make up the STPRM.
We ask for true job stability

Meanwhile, at the access to the Engineer Antonio M. Amor Refinery, in Salamanca, Guanajuato, the workers point out that there are no supplies in the Pemex hospitals, nor do they have job support.
They said they lack uniforms, housing loans, scholarships, loans and there are no contracts.
