Pellegrini responds to Chile's call

Manuel Pellegrinitechnician Real Betisconfirmed this Sunday at a press conference that he has the entire squad available for Monday’s clash against the Atlético de Madridwith the exception of Isco Alarcón from Malaga, so he will have to make a couple of discards, since there are 25 players in the first team at his disposal.

“We hope to play a good game against a rival with whom we are fighting in the classification,” Pellegrini commented this Sunday, who considers that this Monday “is not a transcendental game, but it is three very important points.”

The Chilean coach does not think about making variations for the rival he will face: “We do not change our football, we try to impose ours. Maintain a football unity.” And he believes that the fact of having lost only one game out of twelve so far this campaign does not guarantee anything: “Winning the previous games is not going to mean winning the next one. Those are just statistics.”

The Betis coach has confirmed the presence of Sofyan Amrabat in the squad: “Amrabat did not go to the Europa League match due to some discomfort, it was better for him to stay here in Seville. Now he is fine. He will be on the list of those summoned.”

Regarding the rumors that indicate that the Chilean Federation wants him as a coach, he commented the following: “That Chile wants me to be its coach is a source of pride. It is my country, but it has nothing to do with my renewal with Betis. I have not read the news, but it has no major significance, although it is always a pride that one has that possibility with one’s country.”
