Pedro Siles: “People never abandoned us”

“I think the public has got us used to this, it’s amazing to have the support of the people, even when we were a little worse people never left us. The fans feel more excited, in the previous game they gave us a very emotional welcome and that spread a lot to the squad”, said Pedro Siles.

The midfielder of the sky blue team made reference to the fact that the matches against Universitario de Vinto and Nacional Potosí, for different tournaments, as locals, they had to win them at any cost and they met their goal.

“We had two home games in which we were able to enforce the locality, I think that was the most important”, added the 30-year-old footballer.

The last victory of the celestes was on Sunday against Nacional Potosí 1-0, a rival that has been fighting for the tournament title all against all.

“He was a good-sized rival, who has been peeling up the first places, it was important to consolidate ourselves and let it be known that from here in Santa Cruz we are not going to miss any point. In terms of spirit, he hit the group hard, we needed to have a string of pretty good games,” said Siles.
