Angel Valdes | January 10, 2023

The member of the Democratic Revolutionary Party, Pedro Miguel González, gave statements on Radio Panama regarding the electoral process of this political group that will have its primaries on June 11, 2023, where it is expected that several will aspire to be the candidate presidential for the 2024 elections.

According to González, they have carried out surveys to measure the support of the different political leaders who have aspirations to be candidates within the party and Vice President Gaby Carrizo ranks last in the surveys “in which we did in person in August , Vice President Carrizo ranked last in these polls, the proposal that the government wants to impose on us ranks last”.

According to the electoral calendar of the inmates of the PRD, the application period will be from February 27 to March 8.

In González’s opinion, the error that has occurred with Vice President Carrizo has been exposing him too much “I think he is a young man who could have opportunities, but a mistake was made of exposing him too much, we had not reached the government and they were already talking about a candidacy for 2024 and has become a kind of favorite target for all political adversaries, they have been decimating him and his actions and those of his immediate environment have brought water to the adversaries’ mill, generating great wear and tear and the PRD does not have to bear this “
