The first vice president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante, led an information meeting and presentation of candidates for judges of the peace in the state of Aragua.
The meeting took place in the Samán Tarazonero sector in the Santiago Mariño municipality of the entity, with the participation of the governor of the entity Karina Carpio; the national liaison of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Ricardo Molina; its state organizer José Gregorio Colmenares, as well as the mayor of the territory Joana Sánchez.
Infante stated that “we are working on the transformation of the State. “Whoever wants to know about democracy should come to Venezuela.”
He explained that the responsibility of the justices of the peace is aimed at being mediators of conflicts in their communal circuits. Each of them will receive training in different topics related to the legislation of these matters.
For his part, the organizer of the PSUV, José Gregorio Colmenares, stated that in the state of Aragua there are 2,360 women and men candidates for judges of the peace.
He added that these are men and women who accepted the call of the revolution and are working for the consolidation of the commune.
He indicated that the assemblies are spaces to promote participation and explain what “this process with massification of the regulations and the schedule to follow in the presentation of candidates in the coming days” means.
Colmenares added that the candidate registration phase has already been passed and progress is currently being made in the presentation of each of them.
