The Minister of Economy and Finance, Peter Francke, spoke after the resignation of Avelino Guillén to the Ministry of the Interior, who made this decision due to disagreements with the now former Commander General of the National Police of Peru (PNP), Javier Gallardo, and the absence of support from President Pedro Castillo. The MEF official expressed his solidarity in this regard and highlighted the work carried out by the former prosecutor.
Through his social networks, Francke Ballvé highlighted that the current ministerial cabinet has as its priority fight against corruption and also stressed his desire to coincide with Guillén Jáuregui again in the future.
“I express all my solidarity with Avelino Guillén, a champion in the defense of human rights. In the cabinet he has been a mainstay in the fight against corruption. Dear Avelino, I am sure that we will continue to meet in the fight for a better country. A big hug,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Guillén: Castillo promised me support and has not fulfilled it
