Jaime Vásquez Castillo, nephew of the former president assured that his fugitive brother Fray Vásquez is going to turn himself in to justice these days, since he has a preventive detention order against him.

My brother, sooner or later, assured him that he is going to give himself up. Very soon, these days my brother is going to get straight because what my family and my brother live is slavery (…) we live a nightmare”, he stated in an interview with Canal N.

Next, Vásquez Castillo pointed out that his brother has not yet turned himself in to the authorities because he is afraid of the reprisals they may take against him.

My brother does not turn himself in for fear of so many reprisals against him. We are afraid, how much confidence does this prosecutor give us, this group of power, because they accuse without evidence“, said.

There have been bad people who have taken advantage of your nobility, humility and the trust of my brothers. That they are involved in acts of corruption, I emphatically reject it”, he added.

As recalled, the Judiciary ordered 36 months of preventive detention against Fray Vasquez Castillo for allegedly belonging to a criminal network led by the former president Pedro Castillo and receive money in exchange for managing the delivery of public works.
