The president of the Republic, peter castle, will take the oath of the new person who will lead the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion. The ceremony will take place this Sunday, May 29 at 8:00 p.m., in the Cáceres room of the Government Palace.
The president’s willingness to appoint a new official to join the Council of Ministers responds to the censorship approved by the Congress of the Republic against Betssy Chávez Chino, last Thursday, May 26.
Chávez Chino had been questioned for the strike carried out by air traffic controllers during Holy Week; as well as the assignment of the National Civil Service Authority (Servir) to the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion.
In this scenario, Fuerza Popular with the support of Renovación Popular, Avanza País, Renovación Popular, Alianza para el Progreso including Perú Libre approved the motion of censure with 71 votes in favor, 28 against and 12 abstentions.
