The president of the Republic, peter castleannounced this Wednesday that they already have ready the bill proposed by the free admission to universities of the country and asked Congress to prioritize initiatives aimed at strengthening the education sector.
During his speech, proclaimed at the ceremony for the enactment of the law that grants 100% compensation for length of service, the president said he hoped that this would be “the five-year period of education.”
“I announce that we have ready the bill for free admission to universities for our students in the country”, he asserted.
“If we want to be a fairer and more equitable country, let’s start by recognizing the work of Peru’s teachers,” he said.

Along these lines, he highlighted the work of the teachers who fought for the promulgation of this law that grants greater labor benefits to ministry workers.
“The publication of this regulation is a sign of the firm commitment of this Government to education, because it is the basis of progress and development”, referred.
“Dear teachers: this is the result of a struggle, but I also recognize the work of the unit, the minister, the congressmen and the effort of the parents. It is a recognition of the effort and work of each of the workers in the education sector”, he added.
This morning, President Castillo Terrones led a session of the Council of Ministers at the Government Palace. The meeting took place after an interpellation motion was presented against the chief of staff, Aníbal Torres.
