The Government published the resolution authorizing the trip of the President of the Republic, peter castleto Chile to participate in the ceremonies of the transfer of command to Gabriel Boric, who won the elections in that country.
The legislative resolution No. 31430, which was approved by the Congress of the Republic this week, details that the request made by the Peruvian president to leave the country on March 10 and 11, 2022 was granted.
The trip to participate in the activities of Boric’s presidential inauguration ceremony also has the objective of “strengthen the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries” and continue the bilateral agenda for the benefit of Peru and Chile.

The resolution bears the signatures of the president of the Legislative Power, María del Carmen Alva (Popular Action) and the first vice president, Lady Camones (Alliance for Progress) and was promulgated in the document signed by Castillo and the prime minister, Aníbal Torres .

The Peruvian head of state had welcomed, in December 2021 and after the general elections in Chile, the victory of Gabriel Boric at the head of the Social Convergence alliance, against the right-wing José Antonio Kast.
