The Executive Power published the official activities for the 201st anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of Peru that will take place this Thursday, July 28 and Friday, July 29.
According to the agenda, the events will begin tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. with a greeting from the Ministerial Cabinet to the President of the Republic, peter castleat the Government Palace headquarters.
After that, at 8:30 a.m., the Solemn Mass and Te Deum will be held in the Basilica Cathedral of Lima, with the presence of members of the Executive Power, the Municipality of Lima, among others.
Then at 11:00 a.m. the solemn session will be held in the Congress of the Republicwhere Castillo Terrones will give his message to the nation, on the first anniversary of his Government.
Subsequently, at 5:30 p.m. in the Golden Room of the Government Palace, the Greetings from the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organizations. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a greeting from the highest authorities of the nation.
Finally, at 6:30 p.m., the official reception offered by the president to the high authorities of the nation, the diplomatic corps and representatives of International Organizations will be held in the Great Dining Room of the Government Palace.
July 29 activities
The next day, at 8:00 a.m., the Thanksgiving ceremony for Peru in the Cathedral of Faith, Revival Center, located at 350 Guzmán Blanco Avenue, Cercado de Lima.
Two hours later, at 10:00, the Great Military Civic Paradebut unlike other years, this will be held at the Army Headquarters by health protocol due to COVID-19.
Finally, at 2:00 p.m. there will be the reception of peter castle for members of the Armed Forces, and the National Police (PNP) in the Great Dining Room of the Government Palace.
