“I express my concern about what happened and I request that such an important meeting of the IACHR commission and my legal defense be carried out urgently,” said the former president, accompanied by a letter from his legal defense.

In this letter it can be seen that the ex-president has Wilfredo Arturo Robles Rivera as his lawyer, where it is indicated that the IACHR Secretariat scheduled a visit to Pedro Castillo, however, this has not yet taken place.
“At the time of publishing this statement, the IACHR has not contacted Mr. President’s defense, in order to specify details of the meeting, fearing that this meeting will not take place due to possible political pressure,” they indicate.
