This Thursday, October 27, the Supreme Court of Preparatory Investigation will evaluate the legal guardianship who presented the defense of the President of the Republic, peter castlewhich seeks to annul or “render without effect” the constitutional complaint filed by the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavidezagainst him.
The hearing will take place virtually from 10:00 am and will be chaired by the supreme judge Juan Carlos Checkley Soriawho will evaluate the appeal presented by the lawyer benji espinoza last October 17.
“The technical defense of the accused José Pedro Castillo Terrones, requests this Supreme Court Protection of Rights, due to the affectation of the right to effective jurisdictional protection (in its manifestation of the execution of judicial resolutions); and, as a consequence, the constitutional complaint formulated by the Office of the Prosecutor of the Nation is declared null or void,” reads the resolution.
Likewise, said session will be attended by “mandatory of the representative of the Public Ministry, the investigated and his technical defense”.

As reported, on October 11, the head of the Prosecutor’s Office, Patricia Benavides, presented to Congress the constitutional complaint against the head of state for the alleged crimes of criminal organization, influence peddling and aggravated collusion.
The complaint also reaches former ministers John Silva (Transport and Communications) and Geiner Alvarado (Housing, Construction and Sanitation).
It is important to highlight that the complaint is in the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations (SAC).
