The document was approved by the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations on December 29, 2022, with 16 votes in favor, 6 against, and one abstention.
This report also recommends that the plenary session of Congress accuse the ex-ministers John Silvafor criminal organization and bribery, and Geiner Alvaradoby criminal organization.
The National Prosecutor Patricia Benavidesdenounces former President Castillo, who is being held in the Barbadillo prison, where he is serving preventive detention for 18 months, as the leader of a criminal organization that would have become entrenched in the Government.
Geiner Alvarado requests that the final report be approved
Through a letter, the former minister Geiner Alvarado asked the Permanent Commission to approve the final report of the constitutional complaint filed by the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides.
“I consider that every official or public servant has the duty to facilitate to a great degree the clarification of his conduct in the service of the nation and not to stop, impede or delay, by means of any privilege, the processes and procedures destined for said purpose constitutionally legitimate. In this sense, guided by said principle, I formally inform you that I accepted the claim of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and request that the constitutional accusation be approved, so that the National Prosecutor’s Office can proceed to issue the corresponding formalization provision. and continuation of the preparatory investigation,” said Alvarado.
