The subcommission of constitutional accusations (SAC) of the Congress of the Republic Martha Moyano delegated the investigation to the former president in the parliamentarian Pedro Castillo Within the framework of the constitutional complaint filed against him for the coup d’etat of December 7, 2022 that also raises it for 10 years for the exercise of the public service.
The designation of Moyano occurs more than a month after the resignation of José Jerí, who was initially commissioned to investigate the case, but resigned after his election as the head of the Legislative.
What touches now is that the Popular Force legislator collects all the documentation of the case, request the discharges of the denounced and summon hearings to listen to the parties.
The constitutional complaint against the coup for violation of the Magna Carta – which accumulates two complaints by legislators Alejandro Muñante and Alejandro Cavero – says that the ex -president, today held in the Barbadillo prison, “had permanent conduct of threat to the constitutional order through different acts, including their proposal to prepare a new Constitution.”
