Pedro Castillo added that the approval of this law is so that “Peruvians make use of their savings in these difficult times” and would benefit more than 8 million workers.

“We have decided to sign the autograph of the law for the retirement of the AFP, considering the amount of benefit that it will mean for more than 8 million workers,” he said..

AFP Withdrawal: When will the schedule be published?

The Superintendency of Banking and Insurance (SBS) has 15 working days to draw up a schedule that indicates the withdrawal request dates for each contributor.

Who can withdraw the AFP?

The proposal on the withdrawal of AFP has already been approved in the plenary session of Congress, this was prepared by the Economy Commission. Within the law, it is proposed that all members, whether they are active contributors or not, can withdraw their money from the fund.

This detail marks a difference with the opinion approved last Tuesday in the Labor Commission, which established the same withdrawal amount, but only in the cases of people who do not have three consecutive months of contributions to the system.
