The Minister of Justice, Aníbal Torres, referred to the prosecutor in the Petroperú case, Norah Córdova, and questioned her impartiality when including the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, in the investigation. Torres assured that the prosecutor described the head of state as a “terrorist” and a “communist”; therefore, it has declared its enemy, and it is “illogical” that it is at the forefront of the investigations.
“It is impossible that I can believe in the prosecutor, because, as has already been publicly demonstrated, she has declared herself an enemy of the president, whom he calls a terrorist, a communist. So if you have declared yourself an enemy of the president, How is he going to be investigating his enemy? That is not logical. That does not happen anywhere in the world … only here in Peru ”, said the minister in Exitosa.
