A few hours before Pedro Castillo delivers his message to the nation on July 28, the Citizen Coalition for the Reconstruction of Politics appeared to announce an agenda that promotes the end of the political crisis in the country.
“We are outraged by the serious events that have led to accusations of corruption and obstruction of justice against President Castillo and his entourage. Various actions and omissions of his government are dismantling the capacity of the State and qualified officials to guarantee citizen well-being, “says the document that the association released earlier.
“The coalition has made the decision that the presence of Pedro Castillo is unsustainable and we agree that his resignation is the best constitutional and democratic solution,” announced Álvaro Henzler, a member of the Transparency Civil Association, referring to the latest events that “They seriously damage the presidential institution.”
Henzler explained that the coalition was formed a few months ago and that one of its objectives is to ask Congress for early elections accompanied by a comprehensive and profound political reform.
