The Congress of the Republic defines this Thursday from 6 in the afternoon whether or not it admits the third vacancy motion formulated against the president Pedro Castillounder the grounds of permanent moral incapacity.
The vacancy motion, presented by legislator Edward Málaga-Trillo, has more than 70 signatures. For the motion to be admitted for debate, he must get 52 votes in favor.

If he succeeds, a session will be scheduled next week in which the president can make his defense alone or with a lawyer. 87 votes are required to remove the president.
The multi-party motion, promoted by Edward Málaga, is supported by congressmen from Acción Popular (12), Alianza para el Progreso (9), Somos Perú (3), Fuerza Popular (24), Avanza País (8), Renovación Popular (9 ) and not clustered (2).
The last two motions presented against Castillo Terrones did not get enough votes to be approved.
The first, presented in November of last year, was not admitted to debate, while the second did not get the 87 votes for the president.
