The president of the Republic, peter castlecalled on the various authorities in the country to set aside the “grudges” when referring to the fiscal investigations against him and his environment, in addition to the constitutional complaints.
During an official activity in the town of Pichari, Cusco, the head of state urged Congress, the Judiciary and other institutions to pay attention to the needs of the population.
“From here I would like to call on the Congress of the Republic, the Judiciary, the Constitutional Court and the rest of the authorities to leave these quarrels and take a look at the Peruvian people, let’s take a look at the great gaps that this country has”, he declared.
The president also assured that there is a sector that would be “forcing” and threatening various people to act as effective collaborators of the Public Ministry to incriminate him.
“We are going to respond, but not in the same way that they do, creating complaints, forcing phantom statements through effective collaborators, threatening them so that they say before judges and prosecutors: ‘yes, that’s what the president told me to do‘”, held.
At another point, Castillo recalled that, after the activation of the Inter-American Democratic Charter, the Organization of American States (OAS) will send a mission to the country in the face of the current political crisis.
“These weeks we are going to have the presence of the OAS in Peru, but the presence of the OAS in Peru has had a clear reading of the reality of the country because the OAS in recent times no longer has only one reading of Metropolitan Lima, today he has a profound knowledge of what Peru is like, how it is structured and what the demands of the Peruvian people are”, he stated.
