The president of the Republic, peter castleissued a message of encouragement to the Peruvian team hours before Peru plays its classification against Australia in the playoff of World Cup Qatar 2022.
“Today we are one team, leave everything on the field,” wrote the president on the official Twitter account, showing his confidence in the Peruvian victory this Monday, June 13, in Qatar.
The head of state also highlighted the unity that the country must have to face this important sporting event. “From every corner of Peru and the world, Today all Peruvians are united in a single feeling. We are with you guys to achieve the Qatar 2022 goal,″ she noted.

This is not the first time that Castillo Terrones has referred to the national team. Last Sunday, June 12, in an interview with TV Peru, he explained the motivations for declaring a holiday for the playoff match and trusted in the Peruvian victory.
“Peru is going to win and we are going to be in Qatar with all the strength and all the fans,” said the president. However, he did not dare to give the score with which the match would conclude, but he stressed that we would qualify for the World Cup.
On the decision to declare a holiday this Monday, June 13, he pointed out that it is a “gift to the best fans in the world.”
