Neither Castillo, who is serving preventive detention in the Barbadillo prison, in Ate, nor his lawyer, Eduardo Pachas, attended the virtual session of said working group.

The head of the Control Commission, Héctor Ventura, gave him the pass to connect. But the person who responded was Hugo Chang, administrator of the Barbadillo Prison, to report on the absence of the former president.

“He has not shown up. He has stated that he is not going to participate ”Chang said.

“The attitude of Pedro Castillo will be recorded, who will assess the commission”Ventura warned.

The investigation of said working group is part of the alleged crimes of corruption committed in the execution of investment projects that were financed by the municipalities of Anguía, Chachapoyas and Chadín.
