the businesswoman Sada Goray Chonggeneral manager of the real estate company Marka Group, acknowledged that he paid a bribe of 4 million soles to the former head of the Cabinet of Advisors of the Ministry of Housing, Salatiel Marrufo Alcántara, to benefit financially from resolutions of said office and the National Superintendence of Assets State (SBN).
In statements before the coordinator of the Team of Prosecutors against Corruption of Power, the superior prosecutor Marita Barreto, Goray said that Marrufo told him that the money was for President Pedro Castillo, members of his family and congressmen.
The Epicentro TV journalistic platform not only revealed Sada Goray’s statements before the superior prosecutor Marita Barreto, but also published an interview with journalist René Gastelumendi, to whom she told that Salatiel Marrufo was permanently extorting her, for which she had to pay him a bribe of 4 million soles for armadas, between December 2021 and June of this year
“They extorted me and I handed over 4 million soles, they told me it was for the president (Castillo),” said Goray.
Salatiel Marrufo is in prison for having been part of the so-called “Shadow Cabinet”, a group of countrymen and friends of President Castillo who financed his campaign.
Among them are the former Minister of Housing, Geiner Alvarado López, who appointed Marrufo as his head of the Advisory Cabinet; the mayor of Anguía, Nenil Medina Guerrero, also in jail; businessman Abel Cabrera Fernández, also in prison; and the fugitive Segundo Sánchez Sánchez, among the most notorious.
“After all this year of pressure, fear, fear, my lawyers told me to make myself available to the prosecution and that is what I am doing to provide more information,” Sada Goray told Epicentro TV.
“I have been a businesswoman for 18 years, I have had no problems. The company Marka Group is dedicated to making social housing. What the State does is give a bonus to families. We started from the government of Toledo (…) We were finishing the administration (Francisco Sagasti) where we held meetings with Housing officials such as Elizabeth Añaños (former vice minister) when Geiner Alvarado entered, ”he said.
When the members of the “Shadow Cabinet” took control of the Ministry of Housing and the National Superintendency of State Assets, Marrufo asked Sada Goray for the illicit money to obtain resolutions in favor of Marka Group’s procedures for its projects with MiVivienda. and another individual related to the sale of land in Chilca.
It was precisely the former Vice Minister of Housing, Elizabeth Añaños, who revealed to the authorities that former Minister Geiner Alvarado and the former adviser were pressing to address the claims of the Marka Group and Sada Goray. After Añaños resigned, new officials acceded to Goray’s requests.
A particularly striking case was the requirement that the SBN clean up a piece of land in Chilca that Sada Goray sold for US$47.6 million. Several officials refused to give it the go-ahead, so, through the intervention of the “Shadow Cabinet”, the lawyer Flor Olivera Orellana was hired to give her “technical opinion”.
Olivera spoke in favor of Sada Goray, without saying that they were partners in the Nuevo Chiclayo real estate company.
In investigative reports from La República, the close relationship between Sada Goray and Flor Olivera was documented. A
Some of the investors in his projects affected by the spread of the case even asked Sada Goray to reveal who his contacts were in the “Shadow Cabinet.”
Sada Goray told Epicentro TV that Salatiel Marrufo first approached her requesting advice for government housing projects for social purposes, but then the extortion began.
“Everything was fine until the day the man (Salatiel Marrufo) told me that he wanted 4 million soles. He told me that if he gave him the money, everything would be fine, otherwise everything would be bad, ”Goray declared.
“With that money he was going to help me with all my things. He felt fear and fear because he also had to deliver 7,000 homes. If the man put obstacles in my way, how was I going to deliver the houses? I told him I didn’t have any and to get out of trouble I mentioned that I was going to pay him in parts, but it got worse because he kept asking me. He told me that the money was for the president because they had a form with the president and the presidential family, ”added the real estate businesswoman.
The Sada Goray demonstration confirms that the friends of the president of the “Shadow Cabinet” used public xargos to commit crimes.
