Benji Espinoza, attorney for the president peter castle, indicated that he has recommended to the president not to receive the Oversight Commission this Monday, June 27, at the Government Palace. The lawyer said, in statements for “Punto final”, that he hopes that said request will be taken into account.
“What I have recommended to the president (Pedro Castillo) is that the Oversight Commission not be received because it does not guarantee due process. It does not act with justice, but with execution. This is why I am giving the recommendation.” he claimed.
“It will be seen if the president attends to my request, then it will be necessary to communicate so that the commission does not go. I believe that my request will be attended to, the president listens to recommendations from his defense, “added Benji Espinoza.

“We must be clear, the president is already under investigation and the commission itself, when it quotes the president, says that the cases they investigate are already known to the Prosecutor’s Office. In other words, there is a chase. Article 139 of the Constitution says that no authority can take on pending cases or interfere in the exercise of their functions,” he stated.
