Arequipa. In his final speech, the President of the Republic, peter castle, made an announcement in favor of contract teachers and assistants in the country. Henceforth this group of teachers will be able to access a bonus for schooling.
Castillo Terrones pointed out that There are thousands of teachers hired in Peru who are waiting to be appointed to access various labor benefits. “We have seen how a sector of the teaching profession has been struggling, for a long time fighting permanently and I am referring to the contracted teachers of Peru and assistants, 185,000 clamoring for an appointment and for the most immediate”, he indicated.

He asserted that as a teacher, he listened to the teachers’ requests. “Today I am going to sign the supreme decree to pay you your right for schooling”, he continued and then proceeded to sign the DS 132.2022-EF.
To pay this right for schooling, a fund was approved 59 million soles as part of the Magisterial Reform.
