“I inform the public that I accept the resignation presented today by Minister Juan Silva, thanking him for his services. Our commitment remains in force with the people and we need to meet the objectives set by the Government, ”the president published on his Twitter account.

For his part, José Williams, spokesman for Avanza País, warned that there is a request from the public to remove Silva Villegas from office due to the constant questioning since he took office.
“The questions that the Minister of Transport has had go back to last year, they are consistent and it is a clamor from the population to ask that he not continue in office. It is up to Congress to take action,” said Williams Zapata.
With the departure of Juan Silva, President Pedro Castillo will have to appoint the new Minister of Transport and Communications who will accompany the Prime Minister, Aníbal Torres, and the rest of the Cabinet for the vote of confidence session, scheduled for next Tuesday, March 8 .
