Through an official statement, the President Pedro Castillo accepted the resignation of Walter Ayala from the Ministry of Defense, after the questions against the now former head of the portfolio on alleged pressure to specify irregular promotions in the Armed Forces.
Through the document published on the Twitter account of Presidency of the Republic, the president thanked Ayala for his services rendered to the nation.

The statement came just over a day after the resignation of Walter Ayala, who decided to resign from office two days after the interpellation appointment scheduled by Congress, which was going to take place on Tuesday, November 16.
