“As head of state, I have decided to terminate the appointment of the general commander of the National Police of Peru (PNP), Javier Gallardo Mendoza. In an interview for The Republic, Avelino Guillén assured that he is leaving “calm with his conscience” After his decision to leave the mininter after not receive the support of Pedro Castillo in his proposal to retire the commanding general of the PNP, Javier Gallardo.
