Colorado deputy for Colonia, Nibia Reisch, who in the June primaries was part of a list with Robert Silva, said when Pedro Bordaberry reappeared that her “Ciudadanos” sector is returning with him, to its origins.
“We are going to support Pedro’s list 10 for the Senate and in each department we will open a list with him for the Senate,” said Reisch, who will run again for deputy for the department of Colonia, “Ciudadanos” sector with Bordaberry and the formula Andrés Ojeda for the presidency of the Republic – Robert Silva for the vice presidency.
The deputy clarified that Robert Silva is continuing with his sector “Crece”. Meanwhile, “Ciudadanos” –at least in the department of Colonia-, is joining Bordaberry because “we share his ideas, we know his projects and his way of working. His return was recognized by the entire political spectrum, they welcomed him for his level and proposals”.
Pedro Bordaberry, historical leader of “Vamos Uruguay” (PC), had indicated his definitive retirement from politics in 2017. He wanted to return in 2019, skipping the primaries and Ernesto Talvi said no because he bypassed the internal vote. Now he again skipped the primaries but in this case Andrés Ojeda accepted him anyway. Therefore, he is running for the Senate with list 10, supporting the presidential ticket Ojeda-Robert Silva.
