Pecci family lawyer believes that the new detainee for the crime can be extradited

Pecci family lawyer believes that the new detainee for the crime can be extradited

Sebastián Acha, legal representative of the Pecci family, told 730 AM that they feel a sense of relief after the capture of the sixth person involved in the crime of the fiscal agent. However, the bad news is that he was captured in Caracas, Venezuela, a country that does not extradite his detainees.

“We thought he was dead. This is a state cause for Colombia. It is not just another case because it happened in a key place for internal tourism, for high-level corporate tourism such as Cartagena. There is much to solve for them. With respect to how we could open a case, the family’s problem is financial, the family cannot hire a law firm in Caracas,” he said.

He warned that he sees the cause as very complex, but the good sign is that he was captured with an interpol alert, something that had not happened for a long time.

“Perhaps that is a light of hope,” he said.

CONTEXT
