Representatives of the Catholic church and of peasant organizations of the Northern Mountain Rangein Santiago, announced this Wednesday that, by January 2025, they will resume the day of struggle demanding the repair of their local roads.
He catholic priest Ramón –Nino- Ramos, speaking on behalf of the conveners, explained that they resume the marches scheduled from Monday, January 13 after concluding the waiting period granted to the authorities, so that they can provide concrete responses to their demands.
“We announce to the country that our time of waiting, patience and prudence has run out and, because for the second time they paralyzed the construction of our El Pley-Níspero road since last November 7, we will go on our marches”Priest
He said that the march-protest will start from Santiago Metropolitan Hospital (HOMS) until culminating in the esplanade of the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration.
Father Nino recalled that since Ministry of Public Works they got engaged for this year build half of the roads, 11 kilometers, and next year, 2025, the other half would be done.

He reported that since this Wednesday they proceed to request permission to the city hall and communicate it to the other institutions: Government, National Police and Digesett.
Warns that in the event that the municipal authorities reject your request, because you are part of the Government“protected by the Constitution, in its articles 38 and 39, we will also make our march.”
Among the places that would be impacted by the construction of the local roads in the Northern Mountain Range There are Níspero, El Pley, El Jomo, El Cedro, Los Ramones, Quinigua, Alto Gordo, La Caya, El Aguacate and others.
