The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, informed that the three peace areas established with Colombia advance with positive results, consolidating themselves as an effective mechanism to guarantee stability in the binational border.

Maduro reiterated his call to the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas – economic, social, institutional, political, military and police – with the aim of protecting both nations and eradicating the threats representing violent groups and drug traffickers in the region.
“The three areas defined with Colombia are going to the stern,” insisted the head of state, underlining the importance of advancing in a joint strategy that promotes continental security and sustainable development in border areas.
