Starting this Friday (7), students benefiting from the Pé-de-Meia Program will be able to choose how to invest the R$1,000 incentive received for completing high school. The options will be available on the Caixa Tem application, from Caixa Econômica Federal.
The amount can be kept in savings or invested in the Selic Treasury, according to the program rules, established by joint order of the Ministries of Education (MEC) and Finance, edited at the beginning of October.
The new functionality will be released to students who have already received the incentive installments for completing the first and second year of high school.
For minors who wish to migrate their savings amount to the Selic Treasury, it will be necessary to obtain new authorization from their legal guardian, also done through the application. After confirmation of completion of high school by the MEC, students will be able to keep the invested resources or move them freely.
