The Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) celebrated its 92 years with an act at the Cantaclaro Theater and was congratulated by at least nine communist parties in the world; Among them, Russia, Australia, Germany, France, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Albania, Paraguay and Spain stand out.
The PCV was the first party to support Hugo Chávez’s candidacy and is currently in a confrontation with the government of Nicolás Maduro and “sectors of the leadership of the PSUV (United Socialist Party of Veenzuela)”, which have led it to promote a campaign international denunciation and solidarity of «more than 40 communist parties of the world»before the threat of prosecuting him.

The Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE) joined this celebration and also offered its support in the face of “the situation of harassment and demolition that the PCV is suffering, is part of the persecution of the communists that it finds in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela a persistence that has had different phases, but that, in the current one, acquires a higher degree of violence and repression, due to the strength of the militancy and the Central Directorate of the PCV to reject the previous attempts that began in the first decade of the present 21st century”.
The PCPE assured that its relations with the PCV are “excellent, based on the coincidence of political and ideological positions, and on the sincerity and respect for the sovereignty of our organizations, which, when they suffer attacks or interventionist attempts, show their deep internationalist solidarity. », reads the congratulatory statement.
The Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) congratulated and ratified its solidarity with the Communist Party of Venezuela “against the slander campaign launched against it by the Venezuelan government and its party. The anti-communist attempt by the Maduro government and the PSUV to intervene in the life of the PCV is unacceptable,” says the congratulatory letter published on the PCV website.
In the same way they said that they repudiate “the dirty government assembly of putting together a dissidence with people outside the ranks of the PCV. The PCV is not alone, it has the solidarity of the communists of the world and among them the Communist Party of Mexico,” they maintained, while recalling that the ties between the PCV and the PCM “are strong.”
The German Communist Party assured that both political parties have collaborated closely for many years and condemned the “attacks, arrests, electoral obstructions and slander, not only against your party but also against unions and class-conscious labor organizations, you defend a Venezuela anti-imperialist and against the economic war against their country, for a policy oriented to the interests of the working people”, they communicated from Germany.
For its part, the Paraguayan Communist Party sent a “fraternal greeting and congratulations”, recalling that in more than “nine decades, struggle and sacrifice have characterized the actions of the Venezuelan communists.”
In the same way, the Chilean Communist Party recalled that “the PCV has 92 fighting for the interests of the working class and all workers; always under the permanent repression of North American imperialism and the Creole bourgeoisie».
The greeting from Chile was extended to the leaders and militants of the Communist Party of Venezuela, “paying tribute to the thousands of communists who lost their lives or imprisonment in the fight for a better world.”
The Communist Renaissance Pole in France recalled that in Venezuela the PCV “has a fundamental role in socialist development and is the essential tool of the working class for its organization and defense of its interests.”
The communists in France wished “the best of spirits in the coming struggles and in the development of your party.”
The Communist Party of Australia conveyed greetings to the Communist Party of Venezuela on its 92nd anniversary and expressed its “international solidarity with the people, the working class and the communists of Venezuela.”
“In these more than nine decades, the struggle and sacrifice have characterized the actions of the Venezuelan communists,” said the Communist Party of Uruguay to celebrate the birthday of this political party.
The Communist Party of Albania sent a congratulatory message to the PCV and recalled that “the consequent combative activity of the Communist Party of Venezuela gives us the right and the reason to greet and encourage them once again in our common objective of the Revolution, which is a long, difficult and arduous road.
