Santo Domingo.– He Communist Party of Labor (PCT)through its Secretariat, called on the United Nations Organization (UN) so that reiterate your demand for the immediate cessation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Republic of Cuba.
The PCT stressed the need for the international community continue exercising diplomatic pressure to dismantle this unilateral policy, which has been condemned on multiple occasions by the UN General Assembly.
He Secretary General of the PCT, Manuel Salazarexpressed that “Cuba is not alone. The truth will prevail over lies. Most countries are aware that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US harms the living conditions of the Cuban people and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and human rights”.
The party reiterated its unbreakable solidarity with the Cuban people and governmenttrusting that the global consciousness and the political will of nations will prevail over hegemonic interests. He also urged the UN to take stronger measures that guarantee respect for the sovereignty of Cuba and facilitate the comprehensive development of its population.
