Santo Domingo. —The Communist Party of Labor (PCT) and the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (CIPOML) They reiterated their firm condemnation of what they describe as an aggression by US imperialism against Venezuela and its people, while demanding the immediate withdrawal of United States troops and military equipment that, according to their claim, are stationed in Dominican territory.
Through a joint statement, both organizations considered this military presence as an “unprecedented and lacerating” event, which violates the historical memory of the Dominican patriots, and called on the revolutionary organizations, the working class and the people of the world to draw lessons from current events, the consequences of which – they warned – are still developing.
The PCT and CIPOML pointed out that the situation in Venezuela must be analyzed in the context of the growing inter-imperialist contradictions, where the United States seeks to maintain its global hegemony against powers such as China and Russia. In that sense, they affirmed that the aggression against Venezuela is part of the US National Security Strategy for 2025, which – as they indicate – promotes an expansionist policy and control over strategic regions rich in natural resources.

The document links this conflict with other scenarios of global tension, such as the war in Ukraine, the pressures against Iran, the geopolitical disputes in Greenland and the threats towards Panama, all related – according to the statement – with the competition for energy resources, trade routes and zones of influence in the face of the advance of China and other powers.
The organizations warned that the attempts by imperialist powers to redistribute control of the world represent serious dangers for workers and peoples, by increasing the risk of new wars and favoring the rise of political projects of a fascist and neo-fascist nature on an international scale.
Likewise, they denounced what they consider to be a “systematic deception” when the powers talk about peace, while – they assure – they prepare for war scenarios that benefit the military-industrial complex and big capital.
Against this background, the PCT and the CIPOML stressed that the only way to stop imperialist aggression is the organized struggle of the people, under the leadership of the working class, with the aim of building a democratic order of social and national liberation with a socialist perspective.
Finally, they called to strengthen the unity of anti-imperialist social and political forces, promote a global anti-fascist front, fight against war and promote international solidarity, placing support for the Venezuelan people as a priority task.
