The Ministry of Citizenship started paying this Monday (12) the December installment of the Brazil Aid. For the time being, this is the last month in which the benefit amount of BRL 600 is guaranteed. The current government’s budget forecast is R$ 400 for aid from January.
The first to receive are the beneficiaries with the Social Identification Number (NIS ending in 1. On Tuesday (13), those with the NIS ending in 2 receive the benefit, and so on. The last payment is on the 23rd, for the zero ending.
Around 21.6 million families will receive the money this month, 67 thousand more than in November. The average value of the aid is R$ 607.14.
For next year, the future government seeks to approve a proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC) to guarantee resources to maintain the benefit of R$ 600 and another R$ 150 per child up to 6 years of age.
In addition to the Auxílio Brasil, this month, 5 million and 950 thousand families will receive a R$ 112 gas voucher, the national average for a 13-kilogram cylinder, according to the Ministry of Citizenship. Transfers also start this Monday and go until the 23rd, according to the beneficiary’s NIS, starting with numbers ending in 1.
This is the last month that the benefit will have the full value of a canister. The government’s forecast is that it will return to 50% of the price next year.
