Caixa Econômica Federal completes the payment of the October installment of the Gas Aid, in the amount of R$ 108, this Friday (30), for beneficiaries registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) with Social Registration Number (NIS) ending 0.
The program benefits 5.01 million families and is expected to last until the end of 2026. With the approval of the Constitutional Amendment of the Transition, at the end of 2022, the benefit was maintained at 100% of the average price of a 13 kg cylinder.
Paid every two months, the benefit follows the Bolsa Família calendar. Only those who are registered with CadÚnico and have at least one family member who receives the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC) can receive Gas Aid.
The law that created the program defined that the woman responsible for the family will have preference, as well as women victims of domestic violence.
This month, the investment by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger for Gas Aid is just over R$542 million.

In September, the federal government launched the program Gás do Povo, which will gradually replace Auxílio Gás.
Instead of the cash benefit, families will collect their gas cylinder refills from accredited retailers.
The new program aims to triple the number of beneficiaries, reaching around 15 million families.
