The government paid RD$205,155.4 million in interest on the public debt from January 1 to October 4, which represents 2.8% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
This year’s budget includes RD$263,806.8 million for the payment of interest on the public debt.
Payment of interest and commissions on the debt amounted to RD$230,119.7 million of a budgeted total of RD$294,634 million.
In capital expenditures, the Government has accrued RD$121,699.5 million out of a total of RD$206,930.7 million, 1.6% of GDP. The execution of constructions in process amounted to RD$37,463.6 million.
The Government’s fiscal deficit was RD$110,270.5 million, for 1.5% of GDP. Income amounted to RD$922,045.5 million and expenses amounted to RD$1,032,316 million.
The primary result, which is when the payment of debt interest is discounted, was RD$94,885 million, 1.3% of GDP.
Consumption expenditures totaled RD$334,117 million and current transfers totaled RD$299,576 million.
According to the weekly budget execution report of the General Budget Directorate, the Executive Branch has executed RD$999,313.2 million. The largest amount corresponds to the Ministry of Education, with RD$200,471 million.
They are followed by the Ministry of Public Health (RD$107,628.1 million) and the Presidency of the Republic (RD$90,732.6 million).
